Offside Plays

1278887_748215548549153_8331461855086595164_oOffside Plays was created in 2014 as a space to expose sexism, racism, homophobia, ageism and other forms of discrimination in sport, exercise, and recreation.

The goal of Offside Plays is three-fold:

1.) To expose discrimination in sport, exercise, and recreation.
2.) Provide a space for support.
3.) Serve as a research tool.

I encourage teachers to bring Offside Plays into the classroom as an engagement project.  Thus far, two university undergraduate classes have participated in calling Offside Plays.  An example of how people can contribute to calling “Offside Plays” is perhaps best exemplified by our attempt to Make Warrior Accountable.
